Alan Conroy

EY - Executive in Corporate Finance

I am a Corporate Finance Executive at Ernst and Young (EY) with almost 3 years of experience. I have completing the ICAS Chartered Accountancy (CA) qualification and recently, I have taken an active role within EY on the Start up team and I am currently looking at helping social enterprises through the EY Accelerate programme which would couple well with the BeyondMe projects. I graduated with a BSc Hons in Mathematics from the University of St Andrews in 2013, before being awarded a Masters with distinction in International Finance from the University of Glasgow the following year. I have a highly motivated nature and I am dedicated to excellence in my work, as demonstrated by my strong academic record and involvement in competitive sport. In particular, my studies in Mathematics have developed my analytical skills and my ability to approach problems in a variety of different ways. My work experience and my roles as a team player and captain in various sports have taught me to lead and to work effectively within a team. I believe that through my various experiences and accomplishments, I have developed a skill set which makes me a high quality candidate for the BeyondMe projects.

Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus Scotland

Shop 'til You Drop

Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus Scotland (SBH Scotland) adds quality to life, every day. We are the only registered charity with a Scotland-wide remit to support children, young people and adults with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus. Since 1965 we have been supporting people in Scotland with spina bifida and we now support more people than ever before. Our services are not provided by the NHS or any other organisation. We are looking into the possibility of opening a charity shop to continue our fundraising efforts, however, due to limited resources to date we have not had the means to research the pros & cons of this.
