We’ve attracted an amazing portfolio of innovative, ambitious charities serving different causes.
These charities are looking for the skills of professionals and some funding to tackle their projects.
Over the last year we have worked with our BeyondMe team to expand our presence from 9 to 25 schools. We have developed marketing materials, our programme offering and evaluation tools with our team. They helped us win funding from the IPSOS Foundation. Book Clubs in Schools (BCiS) now needs to test the scalability of the programme designed by our BeyondMe partners which is based on a train-the-trainer approach. We plan to expand the book clubs from 25 to 50 schools during the 2017-2018 academic year.
Right to Succeed is going through a merger that will see the charity grow its mission to include youth employment alongside education. This project is focused on making the most of this opportunity to expand our impact.
IntoUniversity would like to explore the feasibility of utilising the local learning centres it has already established to provide further support to the communities they serve.
Speakers Trust trains young people to speak and be heard. Join us for a data project to ensure compliance, engage our community and enable us to grow our network.
We support a large number of young asylum seekers and refugees to access, progress and thrive in education. Many of these young people are in the UK with out their families and are looked after by the local authority. One of our core programmes is to recruit volunteer mentors to support young refugees with homework. We ask all volunteers to submit a comprehensive application form, supply references and complete a DBS check. As such we are dealing with a lot of confidential information and we would love a team to help us do a data protection audit and come up with an action plan to ensure our systems and procedures are best practice. In addition we know that our use of IT is inefficient and our levels of access are not well thought through so we would also hugely value a team who could help us propose a structure for online filing and provide training in this.
The Mosaic Enterprise Challenge, is a national competition for secondary school students across the UK, designed to develop and encourage their entrepreneurial skills. We operate across six regions of the UK: W. Midlands, NW, Yorkshire, Glasgow, London & S.E. Mosaic programmes are accredited by NCVO’s Approved Provider Standard.
Right to Succeed’s mission is to develop, pilot and scale collaborative and systemic solutions to educational inequality. Join us in designing a sustainable financing model for innovations that tackle educational inequality.
Help lift people out of homelessness and towards employment, by giving them the skills, resources and confidence they need. Climb aboard, this elevator’s going one way and the only way is up!
Support IntoUniversity with the set-up of our new learning centres at a crucial time in our development. Undertake research and team volunteering to ensure the initial success of the centres. As we expand it is also crucial to continue gaining support for our established centres, help us to collate up-to-date research and feasibility studies for our established centres.
We are a social mobility charity. We know anecdotally that our programme improves student retention, raises ambition and academic performance. We’d like help to create a comprehensive data strategy to prove it.
In health a dramatic shift is needed from acute care to prevention. A Community Health System, built on people working together, can achieve this – improving health and reducing demand on services.
