IntoUniversity is a growing education charity supporting students from some of the most disadvantaged backgrounds to achieve their aspirations. We've worked with multiple BeyondMe teams and are keen to collaborate with more on a number of projects.
IntoUniversity is a growing education charity supporting students from some of the most disadvantaged backgrounds to achieve their aspirations. We run 30 local learning centres and extension projects in the heart of disadvantaged communities across the country, aiming to disrupt cycles of deprivation in the areas, with ambition plans to expand into further needy locations.
In each of our centres we operate an impact-driven programme of support consisting of: after-school Academic Support sessions, our innovative FOCUS programme of aspiration-raising and knowledge-increasing workshops, one-to-one mentoring with university students or corporate professionals, and a variety of work experience and networking opportunities through our student enrichment. We begin working with students as young as seven, and continue supporting them throughout their school career and beyond, with the fundamental belief that early and long-term intervention is the most effective form of support. IntoUniversity aims to provide the support that is commonplace in more advantaged homes.
As a medium-sized, but growing, charity, we have a number of projects we would like completed by a BeyondMe team of young professionals. However, we would like to develop the project with the team to best suit their skills and interests, in order for us both to get the most of out the project.
