MAC-UK’s vision is to transform access to and provision of mental health services. Help us to support the development of co-produced and psychologically-informed services for excluded young people in new settings through partnership.
MAC-UK is aiming for Justice, Health, Housing, Education and Social Care services to become psychologically-informed environments. Since 2008, we have worked intensively with over 500 young people, developing services through co-production. This means meeting people in their place and at their pace, then designing and delivering services with, not to or for, people. Our approach, known as INTEGRATE, improves participants’ wellbeing, and advances education and relieves unemployment of deprived young people living with poor mental health in the process.
We are working in partnership with public sector agencies to support more communities to adopt our approach, for a sustainable scale of our impact.
MAC-UK is seeking a team of skilled and resourceful volunteers to help us in the development of a comprehensive accreditation system, as we introduce our mental health principles to a diverse range of services and settings.
The team will work on two of our live ‘dissemination projects’ (one year placement of a MAC-UK team embedded in a frontline service such as Local Authority CYP social care), to understand the legacy of the projects, and to design MAC-UK’s post-placement package of support. The team will contribute to developing MAC-UK’s business model for social impact, through attention to the roles and functions of:
- Quality assurance
- Fidelity to INTEGRATE principles (our evidence-based approach)
- Clinical supervision / team support
- Service evaluation or service audit
The volunteers will work primarily with MAC-UK’s Dissemination Lead and Business Development Lead. We would welcome your talent, experience and enthusiasm, particularly in the areas of project management, research and data analysis, marketing, business planning and product design. In return, we can offer a team the chance to be involved in a key strategic project, making a real difference to sustainability in young people’s mental health provision.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience and understanding of Public Sector Procurement.
